Biography

Dan Sharp has been teaching at the Stuart School of Music since 1994. He began his career as a guitar instructor in 1981 in Austin, Texas while attending St. Edwards University.

Dan teaches all styles of guitar from beginning to advanced, on electric, acoustic, or bass guitars. An emphasis on learning how to improvise while playing is a key element in his teaching style. Students are taught how to play songs by their favorite artists, how to play in bands, and to solo. His extensive skills in guitar care and maintenance are also a part of his teaching program.

Dan accepts students of all ages and will teach any style of music. His lessons are as entertaining as they are educational. Over 1000 students served.
